If you want to teach, you’ve come to the right place. provides you with all the information you need to begin the journey toward becoming a K-12 teacher in your state.  Start by learning about your state credentialing requirements, then find out about colleges and universities offering teacher preparation programs near you, as well as online study options and alternative programs.  

Depending on the subject(s) and grade level you plan to teach, you must also typically pass a battery of exams, such as the Praxis, CSET, or TExES.  Learn more about your state’s specific teacher certification tests and the preparation options available.  

Finally, once you have completed your teaching certification, it will be time to start your career  We offer listings of current teaching jobs, plus resources to help you choose the one that’s right for you.
